STUDENTS:
  • Food for Fines in the library! If you have an overdue book fine, you may bring in canned food items to the library to take care of that. 1 can = 50 cents

7th grade had a great day of testing today!
8th grade will test on Wednesday, December 12..
You will be testing with your PRIDE Time class.

  • Please check the center hallway for Testing Room Assignments.
  • You will also be able to use headphones as a sound buffer so bring your own.
  • On both testing days during 6th period the students that have tested and achieved the guidelines will participate in their incentive day. For this incentive day we will be having a faculty/student volleyball game. We need faculty and staff that would be willing to play on either one of these days or both of these days. If you are willing to play please email Coach Fisher.
  • There are only 3 more collection days for Christmas Alliance and we need over $300 in food and donations to reach our goal of $1,000. Your Pride class gets rewarded with a day in the Pride Room and donuts, and also picks the faculty member who will wear the turkey costume on assembly day if you win. The top 3 classes right now are as follows: Mrs. Schaefer is in the lead with 477 points, Mrs. Patterson is in 2nd with 215 points, and Mrs. Ellison is next with 131 points. PLEASE bring your non-perishable foods to your Pride teacher before Friday, December 14th.
  • Anyone wanting to make a schedule change after Christmas break will need to get a form. Forms will be located on the Counseling Center door.
CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • Soccer tryouts for current 8th grade boys will be conducted on the following dates at CHS stadium:In order to tryout players MUST bring a copy of a current athletic physical. Players should wear cleats and shinguards to tryouts.

  • It's that time of year when we're all hoping for snow! Science Club would like to help collect coats for the coat drive, so when we have that snow day, everyone has a warm coat to wear. Have you noticed the Christmas decorated box in the cafeteria? Check your closets at home for coats that you no longer need, and help us FILL THE COAT BOX!
  • FBLA members wishing to go Christmas Angel shopping on Tuesday night, December 11, at 6:30 p.m., at Wal-Mart need to meet with Ms. Smithey to let her know you can meet her and shop. Please come by room 207 and see Ms. Smithey to sign up. Your parents will need to bring you to Wal-Mart at 6:30 p.m., and pick you up before 7:30 p.m.
  • Southtones will meet today after school.
  • Chess Club will not meet after school tomorrow.

  • Student council will be meeting tomorrow Tuesday, December 11, after school until 4:00 to wrap presents for our Christmas Alliance family. Please make sure to attend.

Builders Club will collect again on Thursday, so everyone bring lots of nonperishable food to your Pride teacher and decide who you think should be turkey for a day!

Mrs. Patterson's class is currently leading with 761 points, Ms. Calhoon is in 2nd with 636 points, and Mrs. Schaefer is in 3rd with 598 points.
  • Friday is Hat Day, so don't forget your dollar and best hat to go with your special Christmas sweater tomorrow!

Builders Club would like to tell everyone a big THANK YOU for all of your generosity. We were able to exceed our goal of $1,000 in food and donations for Cabot Christmas Alliance. Thanks to you, many families will have a much brighter Christmas this year.
