District Working to Prevent Loitering in CHS Parking Lot

July 17, 2015

Effective immediately, the district has requested that the Cabot Police Department write citations to anyone loitering on the high school parking lot.

The district can no longer invest time and resources each day to clean parking areas that are being trashed and make repairs to areas vandalized by those gathering in district parking lots.

We are also receiving concerns that patrons wanting to use the track are being blocked by vehicles that choose not to park appropriately for the purpose of blocking access to the parking area. Unfortunately, the entire situation has become disruptive and very disappointing that this action has to be taken.

Panther Stadium will remain open to those wanting to use the track after school hours.

*This specifically addresses problems on the high school parking lot and does not involve other school facilities including playgrounds.
