CMSS Celebrates 20 Years
November 30, 2015
Cabot Middle School South recently celebrated a milestone with faculty, staff and students, past and present.
The school opened its doors in 1995. On Friday, November 20th, 20 years later, dozens gathered to remember all the hard work and dedication that went into creating and building a school just for the needs of middle school students.
Senator Eddie Joe Williams also issued a Senate Citation recognizing Cabot Middle School South, its faculty and staff for 20 incredible years. CMSS was the recipient of the first Shannon Wright Award for academic excellence and has been recognized twice at the national level as a Diamond School to Watch.
Along with several speakers, guests had a chance to look through several old scrapbooks. Students and teachers will also have a chance to work on a time capsule to commemorate the event.
Congratulations on a great 20 years Cabot Middle School South!
