December 2015 School Board Recognition

December 16, 2015

Cabot School Board members had the opportunity to tour the new Agriculture and Broadcasting Center before Tuesday night's school board meeting. The public was invited as well.

Staff and students walked board members through the new Broadcasting Studio, Metals & Woodworking Shop, Animal Science Facility and the Fully Automated Greenhouse. The board members were highly impressed with the new facilities and students say they love their new learning environment.

Outstanding Psych Team

The Cabot School District Psychology Team recently received a great honor and was recognized at the board meeting. The team was presented with The Outstanding Service Delivery in the Practice of School Psychology Award. It was presented by the Arkansas School Psychology Association at the fall 2015 Conference.

This award honors a school psychology department in a district or cooperative that demonstrates a high level of sustained excellence in developing programs of school psychology service delivery to meet the varied needs of their students.

The School Psychology Team from Cabot Schools was selected from nominations across the state for this award based on their expanded roles in the schools, which include participation on Response to Intervention teams, mental health services, crisis response, behavior consultation and research based intervention, providing professional development in various areas, and psycho-educational evaluations. Our School Psychology Team in Cabot is a valuable resource for our District.

Congratulations:

Maleah Bufford, Darla Earles, Paula Shirron, Kim Lawrence, Madison Lewis, Lorie Veazey and Amy Cunningham
