January 2016 School Board Recognition

Our Cabot School Board, two outstanding teachers, and our CHS Band were recently recognized at the January 11th meeting.

School Board Recognition Month

The Arkansas State Board of Education has approved a resolution proclaiming January as Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month. The month-long observance is an opportunity for the Cabot School District and community to build a stronger understanding of the crucial role school boards play.

The Cabot School Board consists of seven outstanding community leaders. Cabot Public Schools is proud to recognize our Cabot School Board Members.

National Board Certified Teachers

Two Cabot teachers were recognized for their hard work and dedication after achieving their National Board Certification.

The founding mission of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards is to advance the quality of teaching and learning. 

Congratulations to Jana Terrell and Stacy Cook. Ms. Cook is a first grade teacher at Westside Elementary and Ms. Terrell is a counselor at Southside Elementary.

CHS Band Achievements

The Cabot High School Marching Band was also recognized for all their hard work. The band completed its competition season with several top finishes. Band Director Joe Trusty along with several band leaders shared what it's like to be in band and what they hope for the future.
