CHS Senior Makes School History - Swims To 1st Place At State

Caytee Wright is the first Cabot High School swimmer to bring home a 1st place individual win at state, and she not only did it once, but twice.

Wright took home 1st place state titles in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.

The High School Swim & Dive State Championships took place Saturday, February 27th in Bentonville. The girls finished 4th place overall and the boys finished 5th.

Here is a list of all the winners.

Girls:

*Jessie Baldwin, Melanie Abbott, Abigail Breedlove and Caytee Wright – 3rd place Medley Race

*Cabot girls place 3rd in 200 Free Relay 

*Caytee Wright finishes 1st in the 50 free and 1st in the 100 free

*Cabot girls 200 Free Relay finishes 3rd

*Senior Jessie Baldwin finishes 3rd in girls 100 back

Boys:

*Tristen Bowen, Chris Daniel, Payton Jones and Trent Shulta – 4th Place Medley Race

*Freshman Tristen Bowen takes 4th place in the 100 back and 6th overall in boys 200 IM 

*Senior Peyton Jones finishes 2nd in the boys 100 fly and 3rd in the boys 500 freestyle 

*Senior Chris Daniel finishes 6th overall in the boys 100 breaststroke

THV 11 Previews Swimmer Caytee Wright Before State Championship

ICYMI: THV11 Mary Dunleavy THV11 did a preview on senior swimmer Caytee Wright before state competition this past weekend and guess what - Caytee made school history by bringing home two 1st place titles!
