Cabot Graduate Presents American Flag to CHS

April 19, 2016

Captain Moore, an Air Force pilot and 2003 graduate of Cabot High School recently presented Principal Henry Hawkins with an American flag that flew over Iraq on several missions.

Captain Moore was in Iraq for six months fighting ISIS. He spoke to the CHS AFJROTC about his missions. Captain Moore says the flag flew with the 37th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron and was onboard a B-15 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve on Christmas Eve, 2015. It also flew on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015, December 29, January 22, and January 23, 2016.

Along with the flag, Captain Moore presented a certificate to Principal Hawkins with a message written on the back. Part of it states, “Please take this flag as a small token of my appreciation to you and all the many teachers and staff who work tirelessly to educate and enrich the lives of the young men and women who pass through your hallways and classrooms."

Thank you Captain Moore for your service!
