Senator Honors Basketball/Bowling Champs

Three Cabot High School athletic teams received a great honor this week, a Senate Citation from Senator Eddie Joe Williams. The boys basketball, boys bowling, and girls bowling teams received the citations for achieving State Championship titles!
In February, Cabot hosted the state bowling tournament and the boys bowling team defeated Bentonville. The girls team defeated Fayetteville. This was the fifth consecutive win for the boys and the first back-to-back win for the girls. It's also the girls fifth overall win.
In March, the boys basketball team made school history when they advanced to the state finals and beat Bentonville in a packed arena in Hot Springs. It was the first time the boys had been to the championship. You may remember, the girls basketball team won in 2012.
