CFA Students Learn About Domestic Violence & Teen Dating Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. By state law (Act 952 of 2015) all schools must teach on Healthy Relationships in October and February.  

Melanie Baden, the Executive Director from the Lonoke County Safe Haven, presented information regarding healthy relationships, warning signs of abusive relationship, and safety planning to Cabot Freshman Academy students.  

The presentation also included an activity on identifying healthy/unhealthy relationships through scenarios.
