Southside Elementary Celebrates Real Life Superheroes!
October 24, 2016
Superheroes say NO to drugs and to help kick-off Red Ribbon Week, Southside Elementary celebrated our real life superheroes.
Visitors from the Cabot Police Department, Cabot Fire Department, UAMS, AIR EVAC, and MEMS took time from their busy schedules to share about their jobs, health, and safety with students.
Students even dressed as superheroes themselves. They also had the opportunity to get up close with an AIR EVAC Helicopter. It flew in Monday morning and students had the opportunity to ask the crew questions.
They also had the chance to tour a fire truck, police car, and ambulance. UAMS also brought a huge inflatable brain that students could touch and walk through.
Thank you to all our emergency personnel and real life superheroes for protecting us every day!
