Cabot Students Create Anti-Bullying Videos
October 31, 2016
Bullying can happen in any place at any time. It can happen face to face, online or even through a cellphone.
Bullying is serious. It can threaten a student's physical and emotional safety and negatively impact their ability to learn at school. The best way to stop bullying is to address it before it even starts.
Over the summer, Superintendent Dr. Thurman met with Director of Counseling Terena Woodruff and Forensics Instructor Jennifer Akers to discuss ways to empower students to prevent bullying. Cabot High School forensic students not only accepted the challenge to create an anti-bullying video, but developed plans to produce a series of five videos.
The first video focuses on “What is bullying?” Students put on masks representing kids doing the bullying and kids that are being bullied. Middle school, junior high, and freshman students participated in the making of the video.

There you'll also find the Panther Tip Line where you can report bullying. The Panther Tip Line can also be found on our Cabot Public Schools App.
The district and students would also like to thank CHS Broadcasting Instructor Chuck Massey for bringing their vision to life.
