Cabot Police Officers Play Santa To Dozens of Students
December 16, 2016
Some Cabot Police Officers played a very important role Thursday. They became Santa Claus to some very deserving Cabot school kids.
C.O.P.S. (Cabot Officers Playing Santa) Toy Patrol is coordinated by Cabot Police Department Chaplain Tina Frost. This is the 5th year and they served 50 children from Cabot elementary schools.
Thursday, students and officers met at the Cabot Walmart. Each student was paired with an officer to help the child shop. Students purchased a gift for someone else, an item they needed, and the rest of the money could be spent on themselves or however they wanted.
The department raised money throughout the year by selling calendars; they received several anonymous donations, and held a charity softball game.
Thank you to the Cabot Police Department and the community for making a difference and loving our students!
This little boy was so excited to go shopping with his new Cabot Police Officer friend. He's getting a new bike for Christmas! pic.twitter.com/t40FL7qCdM
