Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month 2017

January 4, 2017

The Cabot School District is proud to recognize our outstanding Cabot School Board Members.

Governor Asa Hutchinson and the State Board of Education have officially declared the month of January as School Board Member Recognition Month.

The Cabot School District consists of seven outstanding community leaders.

Ricky Hill, President

Dean Martin, Vice President

Mark Russell, Secretary

Brian Evans

Donna Nash

Sarah Owen

Corey Williams

The month-long observance is a great opportunity for the Cabot School District and community to build a stronger understanding of the crucial role school boards play. As public elected school leaders, board members are empowered by state law to set policy for their district, hire and evaluate the superintendent, oversee district finances, approve the budget, and determine the vision and mission of the district.
