Former Cabot Superintendent Remembered

Don Elliott served as the superintendent of the Cabot School District for 22 years. Mr. Elliott passed away January 16, 2017 at the age of 87.

In 1963, Mr. Elliott moved to Cabot to be the superintendent of the school district. Before coming here he was the principal at Morrilton High School. After more than two decades as superintendent of the Cabot School District, Mr. Elliot served as Educational Liaison for Governor Bill Clinton and the Mayor of Cabot.

Mr. Elliott also served in the military and retired from the Arkansas National Guard as Colonel in 1985. He and his wife, Almeda, traveled to China as missionaries and taught conversational English to medical students.

Superintendent Dr. Thurman calls Mr. Elliott a Cabot icon and says he will truly be missed. To read more about Mr. Elliott's life, click HERE.
