Dr. Thurman, CHS Students & Teacher Present at ACT State Conference
March 6, 2017
The Cabot School District was well represented at the 2017 Arkansas ACT State Conference. It was held Monday, March 6th at ASU Beebe.
Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman was the keynote speaker. He presented alongside Cabot High School Gifted & Talented Specialist Christi Waller and four CHS students, Ryane Thurman, Madison Stocks, Lexi Robertson, and Landon Teer.
The theme for this year's conference was “Arkansas Complete: A Framework for Education and Workplace Success.” The goal of the conference aims to inform, educate, and inspire those who spend time and energy working with individuals to prepare them for college and career success.
Our Cabot High School students gave the crowd a student's perspective on how they're using their ACT preparation and scores to open new possibilities for their future. They explained how they prepared for the ACT in school, what courses they took, and what resources they used outside of school.
We are very proud of our students for participating in the ACT Conference.
