Teen safeTALK For Cabot Students: March 6th
February 20, 2018
Cabot Public Schools and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will host a teen safeTALK for Cabot students ages 15-19 at the Cabot Public Library on Tuesday, March 6 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
During the three-hour safeTALK training, participants will learn how to respond to individuals who have made suicidal statements and help connect them with appropriate resources. Participants will also learn to recognize the invitations for help that some individuals make and are often overlooked by learning to apply the TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep Safe.
Class size is limited to 30 participants so registration is required. There is no cost to participate in safeTALK. Snacks will be provided.
For more information or to register for a safeTALK, please contact the CHS Counseling Center at 843-3562. You may also contact Nicole True at 743-3570, or Terena Woodruff at 843-3363.
