Newly Elected School Board Members Took the Oath of Office

October 18, 2012

Mark Russell and Ricky Hill were sworn in as school board members during the October 16th meeting. 

Mark Russell was elected to the Cabot School Board of Education to represent Position 3.  Mr. Russell graduated from Cabot in 1991 and completed his college education at UALR.  He currently works as the purchasing manager at Lomanco, Inc.

Mr. Russell and his family attend Cabot Church of Christ, where he is head of communications.  Mark also coaches youth football and basketball.

Ricky Hill was elected to the Cabot School Board of Education to represent Position 7.  Mr. Hill has completed his initial orientation and says he is excited to serve on the board and work with the other six members to help serve the district well.

Mr. Hill and his wife Cynthia have two children, Glenn and Julie, who both attend Cabot Schools.  Mr. Hill graduated from Cabot in 1986 and received his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Arkansas State University in Agriculture Business and Economics. He is currently employed as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending for Bank of the Ozarks.  Mr. Hill also is a part of the Cabot Panther Foundation Advisory Committee, LRAFB Community Council, Cabot Rotary Club and the Cabot Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Hill and his family are members of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

School Board officers for the 2012-2013 school year are: Corey Williams, President; Mark Russell, Vice President and Donna Nash, Secretary.
