Power Panthers — February 15, 2019

February 21, 2019

Our fourth and final group of amazing Power Panthers was introduced at the February 15th basketball game.

“Power Panthers” is a student recognition program sponsored by the Cabot Panther Foundation and the Cabot School District. The program honors students in the third through sixth grades who have demonstrated the power and motivation to improve or excel in academics, behavior, or citizenship.

Students receiving this honor are nominated by a building administrator or staff member. Every Power Panther receives tickets to attend the basketball game, a Power Panther t-shirt, and coupons for the concession stand.

Before being recognized on the basketball court, students gathered in the Fine Arts Auditorium to hear from district leaders. Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman welcomed the students, along with Cabot Panther Foundation member Steve Jackson.  Jackson emphasized to students how much the community, district, and foundation cares about them. He also thanked parents for raising awesome Power Panthers.

Cabot High School teacher and FFA sponsor Chad Fryar along with CHS senior Griffin Prior also spoke to our Power Panthers about our agriculture department, FFA, and working hard to excel in the classroom. Last year, Griffin was named the Arkansas FFA Eastern District Vice President.

We are very proud of this great group of students and all our Power Panthers this school year. Congratulations and go “Power Panthers!”
