CHS Honor Graduate Luncheon 2019

April 22, 2019

It was an exciting day for more than 250 seniors at Cabot High School. The 2019 Cabot High School Honor Graduate Luncheon was held at the Veterans Park Event Center on Wednesday, April 17th. Currently, 259 CHS students will graduate with honors.

Along with earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher, there are specific course requirements that must be met in order to be an honor graduate. A student must also be enrolled at Cabot High School for two of the last three semesters beginning with the second semester of the junior year.

Lindsay Hoggatt Sabey, a 2009 co-valedictorian and graduate of Cabot High School was the guest speaker. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and participated in the Freshman Engineering program where she pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. She now works for Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, Tennessee and manages an operating area dedicated to developing safer and more environmentally friendly plastics and coating. Mrs. Sabey motivated our students and encouraged them to perservere and follow their dreams.

Thank you Lindsay Hoggatt Sabey for being an amazing role model to our students. Also, a big thank you to our hosts, the Cabot Chamber of Commerce and Veterans Park Event Center. Thank you to Dairy Queen for providing lunch, as well as the CHS AFJROTC for helping serve and clean up.
