Cabot Middle Schools Panther PRiDE 2019 Celebrations
May 2, 2019
Hundreds of Cabot Middle School North and South 5th grade students celebrated their successful completion of the “Refuse to Use” Panther Resisting Drugs Education (PRiDE) Program.
The drug resistance curriculum educates students about the damaging effects of drugs and substance abuse. It also helps equip students with the need refusal skills to fight peer pressure.
This celebration took place on Friday, April 26th, in the Cabot High School Fine Arts Auditorium and students enjoyed the event with music, fun, and prizes. Cabot Junior High forensics students presented a reader's theatre performance about the dangers of drugs.
Local law enforcement, city and school district leaders were in attendance for the event. The sheriff's office also provided a K-9 demonstration with K-9 Storm. Cabot Freshman Academy School Resource Officer David Thrush was recognized for leading the PRiDE program.
Congratulations middle school students!
