August School Board Recognition 2019

August 30, 2019

Another incredible donation from a Cabot Church was unveiled and two CHS seniors were recognized at the August school board meeting.

Backpack for Kids – Cabot Church of Christ

For the fifth year in a row, Cabot Church of Christ has donated $10,000 to our Backpack for Kids program. Overall, in 14 years, they have donated over $100,000 to our students!

The Backpack for Kids program was started by Cabot Middle School South teachers Becky and Chester Brown. They felt a calling to give back and help students in need. They took their cause to their congregation and church members have been donating to the program ever since. Cory Spruiell, Outreach Minister at Cabot Church of Christ, Shepard Greg Bulice, and Emily Taylor who coordinated the drive with her husband, attended the board meeting to present the donation.

Thank you again to the Cabot Church of Christ for your generosity!
