Important Senior Recognition Information

April 29, 2020

While we continue to wait on guidance regarding a possible summer graduation ceremony, Cabot Public Schools, in partnership with the city of Cabot, and the Chamber of Commerce are working together to honor the Class of 2020.

These plans include recognizing each graduating senior with their own congratulatory sign, as well as creating a video honoring the Class of 2020. Please understand this video will be a celebration of our seniors and not a virtual graduation ceremony.

These special recognitions will take place the week of May 11th. More specific details will be released closer to date.

If you DO NOT want your student's name (first/last) included on a congratulatory sign and picture/name included in the senior video, you MUST OPT OUT by emailing our CHS graduation coordinator Angela Beason at angela.beason@cabotschools.org. The deadline to OPT OUT is Wednesday, May 6th.

Also, if your student did not have a graduation picture taken through our school, the deadline to submit a cap and gown photograph to be included in the video is also Wednesday, May 6. Please email these pictures to Mrs. Beason as well. (If your senior DID have a picture taken through our school, you will not need to do anything.)

Please follow these guidelines:

  • The picture must be a high-resolution cap & gown image and be appropriate for the senior video.

  • Make sure the district is allowed to use the photo you submit, especially if it was taken by a professional photographer.

  • If you do not have a cap and gown, contact Mrs. Beason immediately and she will provide one for you. Mrs. Beason can also assist you with submitting an appropriate picture if a cap and gown picture is not possible.

Please remember, it is imperative if you DO NOT want your senior's picture/name to be a part of these special recognitions, you MUST email angela.beason@cabotschools.org by May 6th.

If you do not have an objection, there is nothing you need to do.

Thank you again to the city of Cabot, Chamber of Commerce, Red River Auto Group, and Action Sign for supporting these efforts to recognize the Class of 2020.
