September School Board Recognition 2020

Another incredible donation from a Cabot Church was unveiled at the September school board meeting.

Backpack for Kids – Cabot Church of Christ

Cabot Church of Christ presented the district with another $10,000 to our Backpacks for Kids program!  In 15 years, church members have donated more than $120,000 to help support our Cabot School District students. 

The Backpack for Kids program was started by Cabot Middle School South teachers Becky and Chester Brown. They felt a calling to give back and help students in need. They took their cause to their congregation and church members have been donating to the program ever since.

Church member Emily Taylor coordinated the drive with her husband. Mrs. Taylor and T.J. Davidson, Outreach Minister at Cabot Church of Christ, attended the board meeting to present the donation.
