Three Cabot Panthers Sign Letters of Intent to U of A & AR Tech

November 17, 2014

Nov. 17th, 2014

Dozens of family, friends, coaches and students gathered Monday at Cabot High School to watch three seniors sign letters of intent.

Tori and Lexi Weeks both signed with the University of Arkansas for track and Megan Goodnight signed to play softball with Arkansas Tech.

Lexi Weeks broke the Arkansas state record last year with a jump of 14 feet.  She is going into this year number one in the nation.  Lexi also holds the long jump, 100 hurdles, heptathlon and pole vault school records.

Tori Weeks is going into this year as third in the nation.  She holds the 800 and the 300 hurdles school record.  Both sisters are on the 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter relay school record team.

At the University of Arkansas they both plan on majoring in Chemistry and will be pursuing careers in Pharmacy.

Megan Goodnight holds several titles as well. She was All-State in the 9th grade and All-Conference in the 11th grade.  She's a pitcher and throws a 63 mph average.

Megan has been playing softball since she was 4-years-old and was inspired by the movie, ‘Sandlot.' Megan says she wanted to be like the boys.

Megan is 17 years old and would love to be a softball coach someday.
