Cabot High Swim Team Takes 1st Place in East District

Congratulations to the Cabot High School Boys and Girls swim teams who made history last night by both winning 1st place in East District.

This is the first time in the programs history that both teams have won 1st place in the same year.

The girls scored 450 points to beat the next closest competitor Jonesboro who finished with 346 points. The Panthers won numerous events including all 3 relay events. Juniors, Jessie Baldwin, Haylee Beckley and Caytee Wright all scored wins in their individual events.

The boys scored a commanding 377 points to beat the next closest competitor Jonesboro who finished with 177 points. The boys also won all 3 of the relay events and Seniors Noah Joyner and Even Wilson, Junior Payton Jones and Sophomore Ben Cameron scored wins in their individual events to propel the panther boys to the win.


 

The Panther Swim Team will be represented by Seniors: Noah Joyner, Riley Young, and Katie Frederick. Juniors: Jessie Baldwin , Haylee Beckley, Caytee Wright, Vicki Ray, Payton and Chris Daniel Sophomores: Ben Cameron and Jordan Woodson, and Freshman: Melanie Abbott at the High School State Meet that will be held at UALR on Saturday, February 28th at 10 am.
