Generation Rescue: Autism Awareness

April 17, 2015

April 17, 2015

April is Autism Awareness Month and for one Cabot student, he is making a difference for a very special friend.

When Jack Ratliff, currently a jr. high student, was in Kindergarten at Westside Elementary he met and became instant friends with Aaroyn Johnson. Aaroyn has Autism and through their strong bond and friendship, he decided he wanted to help raise awareness in her honor.

For seven consecutive years Jack has held a bake sale for Westside Elementary teachers and staff with all proceeds going toward Generation Rescue in Aaroyn's honor.  Generation Rescue helps researchers find a cure for Autism.

Jack is involved with other activities through the year to also help and support his friend. Jack is a great student leading change for a great cause!
