April 21st, 2015

Cabot High School FFA members are state champions!

In March of this year these students placed 5th in the Eastern district CDE (Career Development Event) and advanced to the state competition. The state competition was recently held and this FFA team won the State Horse CDE Competition!

There were 16 Arkansas FFA State CDE competitions with 441 teams and 1,736 members that competed. The Cabot FFA team members are Emma Waymack (2nd highest overall individual), Taryn Phares (7th highest overall individual), Brittany Larson and Kaitlin Marshall. Team adviser is Cabot Schools Agri Teacher, Corey Ruff.

These young ladies are scheduled to attend the Texas A&M horse judging clinic in June and the Starksville, MS horse judging clinic in July. They will continue to keep working hard to prepare for the National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY in October 2015.

Congratulations again to our FFA State Champions!
