Panther Transportation Honored as one of the Safest Fleets in AR

Congratulations to our outstanding Cabot Public Schools Panther Transportation Department for being recognized by the Arkansas Association of Pupil Transportation (AAPT) as having one of the safest school bus fleets in the state! Panther Transportation is honored to win a 2022 AAPT Safety Award.

AAPT recognizes districts in Arkansas that demonstrate great safety practices regarding the maintenance of their school bus fleet. Panther Transportation handles over 100 school bus routes and transports more than 5,000 students every day.

Our Excecutive Director of Support Services Morris Rothfeldt and Director of Transportation Bob Doty were recognized at the Hall of Honor Banquet and at our June Cabot School Board meeting.

The AAPT School Bus Safety Award is based on the following criteria:

• Quality of the school bus inspection.
• Quality of the school bus maintenance records.
• Cleanliness of the school bus fleet.
• Quality of the preventive maintenance program.

The AAPT is an association that consists of transportation professionals from school districts in Arkansas. Their purpose is to assist members in staying up to date with the newest and safest equipment and procedures for transporting students to and from school and school related activities.
