CHS Forensics/Debate Team Qualifies for Nationals

Fourteen members of the Cabot High School Varsity Forensics and Debate Team have qualified for nationals. 

Members recently competed at the Arkansas National Speech and Debate Association's District Tournament and now they're eligible to go to the national tournament. The national tournament will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah this summer.

The team also won the Overall Speech Sweepstakes, Overall Student Congress Senate Sweepstakes, and won the overall Tournament Sweepstakes Award.

Students qualifying include Collin Smith, Greer King, Lexi Robertson, Ryan Owens, Morgan Akers, Andrew Hupp, Jacob Holland, Nicole Vincent, Tristen Martson, Kyler Buckner, Blain Mahoney, Ben Cameron, Keianna Trujillo, and Somer Shannon.

Congratulations to all these outstanding students and to our Varsity Forensics Coach Ms. Jennifer Akers.
