First Ever CTE Expo at CHS
December 5, 2018
Approximately 450 Cabot Freshman Academy students had the opportunity to see what their futures may hold! Ninth graders experienced the first ever CTE (Career Technical Education) Expo at Cabot High School recently.
CFA students followed a rotation that allowed them to tour 12 CTE programs and interact with teachers and students. Student tour guides escorted CFA students as they moved from class to class. The guides were selected due to their strong leadership abilities and their dedication to their respective programs and student organizations within those programs.
The purpose of the CTE Expo is to offer CFA students an opportunity to learn more about elective course choices at CHS. Administrators hope by giving students the opportunity to see the programs in action in classrooms, labs, and shops, they will be able to make better and more informed decisions when selecting their courses for the upcoming school year.
There will be a spring CTE Expo in January to allow the remaining CFA students to tour CTE courses.
