Coach Crowder Honored At Final Home Game

After an impressive 950 career wins, Coach Carla Crowder is preparing to retire from the basketball court. Coach Crowder has been the head coach of the Cabot Lady Panthers Basketball Team for the past 16 years. She is set to retire after a total of 38 years coaching. 

At the last home basketball game, Coach Crowder was recognized for her many years of service. Former and current players, coaches, family, and friends attended a retirement celebration in her honor. 

    

Coach Crowder received several momentous and gifts during her celebration.

The 2019 Lady Panther Basketball Team presented Coach Crowder with a team photo and special message. Lauren McGhee, member of the 2012 Cabot State Championship Team, presented her with a quilt made of t-shirts of various camps, and class shirts from 2012. Athletic Director Rob Coleman presented Coach Crowder with a commemorative game ball. On the ball it lists some of her coaching accomplishments. Finally, Cabot Mayor Ken Kincade read a Mayoral Proclamation in Coach Crowder's honor.

Earlier this season, Senator Ricky Hill also presented Coach Crowder with a Senate Citation highlighting her amazing career. Members of the Arkansas Senate joined Senator Hill in congratulating Coach Crowder on her long-time success on the basketball court.

  

Coach Crowder has certainly left her mark on girls' basketball in the state of Arkansas. She has impacted thousands of lives during her coaching career and will be greatly missed!
