Cabot Panther Foundation Adopts Two Elementary Schools for ‘Food For Kids’ Program

November 25, 2013

The Cabot Panther Foundation has adopted two elementary schools for the Food For Kids program with the Rice Depot, which provides new backpacks and kid-friendly ready-to-eat food items that will be sent home with students in need.

The Cabot Panther Foundation has adopted Central Elementary and Ward Central Elementary at the cost of $2,400 per school. These schools will receive monthly food items from the Rice Depot.

For over 35,000 Arkansas school children and their siblings, the Food For Kids program is the only thing that stands between them and hunger. Through a principal-appointed program coordinator, the food is distributed to students who display educational, physical, or emotional problems at school due to hunger at home.
