Master Principal - Mrs. Georgia Chastain

Cabot Middle School South Principal Mrs. Georgia Chastain has received the Master Principal Award, awarded to only three principals in the state of Arkansas.  Mrs. Chastain has completed a rigorous four year program, which includes a site visit from educational leaders on the 4th year.  Every year, a principal must submit a portfolio of work to be accepted for the next year's training through the Arkansas Leadership Academy.  After the 3rd year, the principal must submit school data that shows an upward trajectory of student achievement.

This Master Principal program was established in 2003 and the purpose is to provide training programs and opportunities to expand the knowledge base and leadership skills of public school principals.

David Cook with the Arkansas Leadership Academy presented Mrs. Chastain with Master Principal plaque at the May Cabot School Board meeting.
