Athletic Physicals in Cabot Schools

April 20, 2015

April 20th, 2015

The Cabot Athletic Department in conjunction with the Cabot Public Schools Athletic Training Department, School Nurses, and other local healthcare providers provided more than 800 student athletes with their Pre-Participation Exam/athletic physical's on Wednesday, April 15th and Friday, April 17th.

The physicals consisted of: musculoskeletal screenings, vital signs screenings, and height and weight measurements of our student-athletes.

The very first and most important aspect to providing our student-athletes with appropriate athletic healthcare is providing them with a thorough Pre-Participation Exam (P.P.E). The National Federation of High School Sports along with the Arkansas Activities Association mandate that every athlete must have an annual P.P.E as part of their eligibility requirements for athletics. The P.P.Es were provided at no charge to our parents/athletes of Cabot Public Schools.

We would like to say thank you to the healthcare providers that made these events a success.
