CHS Receives Gold Improvement Award for High Schools That Work

July 20, 2012

Cabot High School received a national High Schools That Work (HSTW) Gold Improvement Award based on the progress of local school leaders and teachers in improving school practices and raising student achievement.

This award was presented by Gene Bottoms, at the 26th Annual HSTW Staff Development Conference in New Orleans, on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.

(Accepting on behalf of the High School was Assistant Principal Randy Granderson)

Cabot High School is one of only eight high schools in the nation receiving the HSTW Gold Improvement Award in 2012.

To earn this recognition, schools have to increase their mean scores on the HSTW Assessment reading, mathematics and science tests by at least ten points from 2010 to 2012.
