School Choice Applications Now Being Accepted For 2017

March 1, 2017

At the Cabot School District “It's about KIDS,” and your student could be part of the long history of academic excellence even if you don't live in the district.

With the Public School Choice Act, students in other districts may be eligible to enroll in the Cabot School District. Click HERE to watch our School Choice Video!

The Cabot School District is the 7th largest in the state with more than 10,000 students and 17 campuses. We have nine elementary schools, two Arkansas Diamond Middle schools, two outstanding junior high schools, a Freshman Academy that's dedicated solely to 9th graders, a high school that's committed to helping students take the next step in their path to success, and an award-winning conversion charter school. ACE and ACE-North offer a unique blended learning environment and flexible schedules.

Amy Hill and her family came to the Cabot School District from private school. Her two children have been enrolled in Cabot Schools for several years now. She's grateful for school choice. She says Cabot Schools feels like a private school. She couldn't imagine her kids going anywhere else and encourages other parents to make the change.

The opportunities at the Cabot School District are endless. We have a vast array of career and technical courses, including broadcasting, animal science, metals and woodworking, a fully automated greenhouse, construction, law enforcement, medical and nursing courses, and welding. There's even a working automotive shop right on the high school campus!

Students also have the opportunity to choose from more than 160 electives, including ROTC, forensics, debate, robotics, coding, theater, dance, choir, and a first-class marching band. Students can also bring their artistic visions to life with our award-winning fine arts program.

If your passion is athletics, we have 81 teams and 15 sports. The Cabot School District is where champions are made and Olympians are born. Lexi Weeks, who graduated from Cabot High School in 2015, made it to the 2016 Olympics in Rio for pole vaulting.

Our students also score in academics. We have National Merit Semifinalists, students with perfect ACTs, and millions of dollars in scholarships for thousands of students.

If you've ever thought of making a change, don't wait. With School Choice your child may be eligible. For more information and to see if your child qualifies, please contact the Central Administrative Office at 501-843-3363 or email Director of Student Services Michael Byrd at Michael.Byrd@cps.k12.ar.us.
