Gore Runs for UCA Bears Next Fall

November 10, 2017

Family and friends gathered at Cabot High School on National College Signing Day to watch Casey Gore sign her letter of intent with the University of Central Arkansas to run Cross Country and Track next fall.

Before signing her letter of intent, Casey, along with her parents David and Tracy and sister Lara Beth, thanked her coaches and family for getting her to where she is today. Casey has been running Track/Cross Country for Cabot since the seventh grade and has accumulated dozens of medals and awards!

Casey and her team just finished the season but she qualified for the All-Star Meet on November 11th. This will be her second time competing. The All-Star Meet consists of the top 10% runners from Arkansas and Oklahoma. Last year, out of 50 runners Casey placed 5th overall!

Casey is excited for her college experience and is looking forward to stepping out of her comfort zone into a new level. Her sister Ashley runs for Henderson State University and has prepared her for what's to come. Watching her sister excel at a different level has her ready for her new experience.

Casey plans to major in Education and would like to become a teacher and track coach in the future.
