Every Student Succeeds Act 2018 Report

October 16, 2018

The Arkansas Department of Education recently released the 2018 Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) School Index Reports. ESSA replaced the No Child Left Behind law.

ADE publishes these reports annually, which provides important information regarding each school. These include test performance, graduation rate, school quality, and student success. The report also provides information about how well schools are meeting the education needs of special populations of students. Each school is assigned a letter grade (A, B, C, D, F).

There are 1,034 public schools in the state of Arkansas. Here is a breakdown of the letter grades:

  • 152 schools received A's

  • 313 schools received B's

  • 380 schools received C's

  • 145 schools received D's

  • 44 schools received F's

Cabot Public Schools received its grades Friday, October 12th. We know we have more work to do, but we are proud of the progress our students have made, and the hard work of our teachers and staff. Click on the school and on the letter grade for more details.
