Twelve Cabot Seniors Sign on 2019 National Signing Day

It was the largest crowd Cabot High School has seen so far on National Signing Day as twelve seniors signed letters of intent at Panther Arena on February 6th.
Congratulations to the two track/cross country, seven football, one soccer, and two swim athletes!
Lauren Turner – Track/CC, University of Alabama
Tyler George – Track/CC, Neosho County Community College
Dalton Crumbly – Football, Henderson State University
Zhane Harper – Football, Arkansas Tech University
Justin Holland – Football, Missouri Baptist University
Mason Martin – Football, Ouachita Baptist University
Brad Morales – Football, Missouri Baptist University
TJ Rogers – Football, Missouri Baptist University
Jared Russell – Football, Harding University
Gracen Turner – Soccer, Ouachita Baptist University
Chase Foiles – Swim, Ouachita Baptist University
Alex Layman – Swim, Henderson State University
Lauren Turner was the first signee. Lauren will be attending the University of Alabama for track/cross country. Lauren holds many accomplishments and accolades and is the 4th fastest all-time 800 runner in the state of Arkansas! Lauren will study biology with plans on attending medical school after college. Lauren said she instantly developed a relationship with the coaches and team when visiting Alabama earlier this year. She says the coaches are invested in not only your growth as an athlete, but your growth as a person, and will help develop her into someone successful on and off the track. Lauren believes Alabama is a great school with a great honors program.
Tyler George was the next track signee. Tyler chose Neosho college because of how the town and school support each other. Tyler felt welcome at Neosho from the beginning and is looking forward to seeing where this new opportunity will take him in the future. Tyler knows it will be a challenge transitioning from state competition to National competition but he is excited to see how he and his team will perform together. Tyler plans on majoring in secondary education.
Dalton Crumbly has been playing football since a young age and is looking forward to playing at the college level. Dalton chose Henderson State University for his college because it is close to home and he has always liked the Reddies football program. He is looking forward to the new friendships and family that he will make in the next four years. Dalton plans on majoring in criminal justice or psychology and would like to go into the FBI or Secret Service. He is also interested in participating in Henderson's theatre program.
Zhane Harper chose to continue playing football at Arkansas Tech University. Zhane says he is excited to play at the college level against some great athletes. He thinks he will fit right into their program at ATU, not only with football but with their academics as well. Zhane plans on coaching one day.
Justin Holland will play football for Missouri Baptist University. Justin says the team at MBU has a great bond with one another and the coaches are top notch. It has always been a dream of Justin's to play college football and Missouri Baptist is giving him that opportunity. He couldn't be more thrilled. Justin plans on majoring in health studies while at MBU.
Mason Martin will be attending Ouachita Baptist University for football next fall. Mason says OBU is a great school and the coaches really take care of their players. Mason is excited to work with Coach Knight and the rest of the coaching staff. Mason is looking forward to furthering his education as well, he plans on studying biology and would like to be a Physical Therapist one day.
Brad Morales will further his education at Missouri Baptist University. Brad is looking forward to this new chapter in his life and he is excited to continue playing the sport he loves.
TJ Rogers is another MBU football signee. TJ has been playing football since a young age and can't wait to continue playing at the next level. Missouri Baptist stood out to him because it was a home away from home and they made him feel welcome. He is looking forward to his new school, new team, and new state.
Jared Russell is excited to get the opportunity to play as Bison for Harding University. Jared has been playing football for several years and is thrilled to continue playing at the college level.
Cabot Soccer player Gracen Turner signed to Ouachita Baptist University. One of the things that stood out at OBU for Gracen was the atmosphere. She says everyone she met at OBU had a smile on their face and were all very welcoming. The faculty and coaches she says are all very supportive and want the best for each student. While attending OBU, Gracen will major in biology and plans to attend dental school to become a Pediatric Dentist.
Chase Foiles will swim at Ouachita Baptist University next fall. Chase is looking forward to competing in high level competitions and the overall college experience. Chase says OBU has a great atmosphere and dedicated professors to ensure your success. Chase will study biology and plans on going to medical school.
Alex Layman was the last swimmer and signee of the day. He will be attending Henderson State University. Alex will study biology with plans on attending medical school. Alex says Henderson was a perfect fit for him and was close to home. Alex is excited to swim at the higher level and for this new challenge.
