2019 Cabot High School Graduation: Photo Albums

It was a record-setting night as 746 seniors graduated from Cabot High School on May 17th. This is the largest class in the history of CHS! The graduation ceremony took place at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock where thousands of excited family and friends watched their favorite graduate walk across the stage.

Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman and CHS Principal Henry Hawkins welcomed everyone and congratulated the Class of 2019. Included in the 746 seniors who graduated, 256 students graduated with Honors and High Honors. Along with earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher, there are specific course requirements that must be met in order to be an honor graduate. This year CHS had 54 High Honor graduates with GPA's above a 4.0 and 202 graduates with a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0. 

  

The goal at Cabot High School is to have a 100-percent acceptance rate to either college, a vocational/technical school, or the U.S. military. As of graduation night, CHS was at 93-percent! Eight-percent (60 students) have already committed to serving in the military. Six-percent have committed to a technical or vocational school. CHS also had a Naval Academy and West Point appointment and four full ROTC scholarships ($2.5 million). There were also 27 athletic scholarship recipients as well as 24 band scholarship recipients. One-hundred-seventeen seniors also awarded $128,600 in local scholarships.The total scholarship offers for this senior class was nearly $10 million dollars!

  

This year's Valedictorian was Maggie Martin. Maggie graduated with a 4.4889 GPA. Maggie plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in English in hopes of becoming an educator. Co-Salutatorians were Skyler Mantooth and Austin Elliott. Austin plans to participate in the Honors College and CEAT Scholar Program at Oklahoma State University where he will pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Skyler plans to attend the University of Arkansas to pursue a career in engineering.

Cabot School Board President Sarah Owen presented students with their diplomas. Following the changing of the tassel and alma mater, Mr. Hawkins presented the Class of 2019! Congratulations!
