Grade Posting Information for the Class of 2020

April 2, 2020

UPDATED INFORMATION:  According to the Arkansas Department of Education, high school seniors who are on track to graduate and in good standing as of the third nine weeks reporting period will be considered as "meeting the graduation requirements” for the state of Arkansas.

The staff at Cabot High School, the Academic Center of Excellence and the Academic Center of Excellence-North will be communicating with seniors in the coming days who are not on track to graduate to formulate a plan for the remainder of the year.  Any senior who is in good standing, but is concerned about their grades for the 3rd nine weeks should make immediate contact with either Mr. Hawkins at CHS, Mrs. Evans at ACE, or Mrs. Chastain at ACE North.

*For ACE & ACE North students, if you have any questions please make contact with your administrators regarding your grade posting.

Seniors who are in good standing will have the 3rd 9 weeks grades duplicated as their 4th 9 weeks grade and will be exempt from semester exams. Thereby their 3rd 9 weeks grades will serve as their 2nd semester grade. Students should be receiving their official 3rd 9 weeks grades via email within the next few days. If they have concerns with these grades or feel that there is an error, they need to make contact with their classroom teachers.

If seniors were not passing their courses or would like to improve their academic standing, they will have the opportunity to do so. They should make contact with their respective building administrators by Friday, the 3rd of April. The classroom teachers will work with students to provide them learning opportunities and graded assignments to allow for improvement.

Over the next few weeks, teachers of seniors will be entering in the 3rd 9 weeks grades as the 4th 9 weeks grades for all senior students. This will not be done immediately, so we ask for patience in this process.
