2022 Double Conference Championships: CHS Cross Country Teams

Congratulations to our Panthers and Lady Panthers Cross Country Teams as they both won the 2022 6A Central Conference Meet at Burns Park on October 24th.

The Lady Panthers started off the day winning the title and beating second place Bryant by 31 points. Our girls team had five in the top ten receive All-Conference honors, including Cady Masters (2nd), Makenzie Wood (4th), Cate Mathes (6th), Ashtayanne Wysong (9th), and Skylar Ouzts (10th). We also had seven athletes in the top 14 as well.

The Panthers followed with another great performance, they beat Bryant by 4 points! All-Conference finishers Myson McFall (4th), Brandon Waller (5th), Brooks Johnson (8th), Joshua Trueman, Jake Johnson, and Logan Williams all had huge races as well.

Congratulations to all the 36 athletes who competed at the meet. This is the first time since 2005 that Cabot has won the boys and girls “Double Conference Champs!

Also, congratulations to our cross country coaches, head coach Chris Beavert, Michael Bryant, Maggie Cope, and Reed Fisher and strength and conditioning coaches Brandon Jay and Kord Simpson for all the training and support they have given to these athletes.

The 6A State Meet will be held Thursday, November 3rd  beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. Good luck at State!
