Junior Duck Stamp Art Winners 2018
April 24, 2018

Students from Cabot High School, Cabot Freshman Academy, and Cabot Middle School North placed in this year's Junior Duck Stamp contest.
According to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service website, “The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program is a dynamic arts and science curriculum that teaches wetlands and waterfowl conservation to students in kindergarten through high school. The program incorporates scientiï¬c and wildlife management principles into a visual arts curriculum and art contest. The program also provides an opportunity for students to learn science and artistically express their knowledge of the beauty, diversity and interdependence of wildlife.”
Art students from across our district completed entries for the Junior Duck Stamp this year and we are pleased to announce those who placed in this year's competition. In addition to the place winners, two of our students won special awards.
Auston Melton from the Freshman Academy won 3rd Best of Show in his group and a scholarship prize of $250.
