Back to School Supply Lists 2020-2021

July 29, 2020

School begins Monday, August 24th, 2020! Here is information regarding supply fees and supply lists. Don't forget the Sales Tax Holiday is this weekend, August 1 & 2.

Traditional (In-Classroom) Students

Elementary Supply Fees (K-4th) – There is a one-time $25 fee that includes all necessary school supplies and a class t-shirt. The only item(s) your child will need to bring is a backpack, lunch box (if your child plans to bring their lunch), and a pre-filled water bottle.

*Pre-K has no supply fee but we ask families to send a backpack with their child, lunch box (if your child plans to bring their lunch from home), and a pre-filled water bottle.

Middle School Supply Fee (5th-6th) - There is a one-time $25 fee that includes all necessary school supplies and a class t-shirt. In addition to the supply fee, students are asked to bring a backpack, pencils, paper, and a clear drinking bottle.

The $25 supply fee can be paid ONLINE now (click on elementary schools or middle schools, and then select your child's school). Since you do not know your teacher's name at this time, just include your child's grade level. A service fee will apply. You can also pay the supply fee at Open House by cash or check.

Secondary Supply Lists (7th-12th) – Below are the links to the secondary supply lists. Please note, some have only posted general items. Since some supplies are “class specific,” you may want to wait until you receive your schedule before making purchases.

Cabot Panther Digital Academy Students

Elementary/Middle Supply Fee (K-6th) – There is a one-time $25 online portfolio fee that includes all necessary schools supplies as well as a t-shirt. These materials will need to be picked up at Open House or prior to school beginning.

Again, the $25 supply fee can be paid ONLINE now (click on elementary schools or middle schools, and then select your child's zoned school). Since you do not know your teacher's name at this time, just include your child's grade level. A service fee will apply. You can also pay the supply fee at Open House by cash or check.

Secondary Supply Lists (7th-12th) – There is not an online portfolio fee for secondary students. The secondary supply list includes basic supplies. For example: pencils, pen, paper, folders, etc. Other supplies will be specific to the class. Information on what is needed will be addressed by digital teachers once school begins.

Chromebooks

Every Cabot Public Schools student whether they attend in-classroom instruction or digitally (Cabot Panther Digital Academy) will be assigned a Chromebook this year. Chromebooks will be distributed at Open House and the first week of school.

If a student borrowed a district Chromebook back in April, you may bring that Chromebook to Open House to exchange it for the one that will be officially assigned to you. If you cannot make it to Open House, we will share other ways to return it at a later time.

Students will need to bring their assigned Chromebooks to class with them every day. The devices will be used regularly throughout the school week. It is highly encouraged to store your Chromebook in a protective carrying case, although it is not required to purchase one.

The closed dimensions of our Chromebooks are:

11.6" Long
7.9" Wide
0.97" Thick

*Remember, face coverings are required for all (K-12, Pre-K required in certain situations). The district will provide cloth face coverings but students are welcome to wear their own as long as they follow dress code policy.

**Information regarding when and how schedules will be released will be shared next week.

**Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 20. Detailed information on open house will also be shared soon.
