Cabot Country Cruisers Donation
The Cabot Country Cruisers donated $5,000, which was proceeds from their Spring Fling 5K held in March, to the Cabot School District's PE for Life program.

The Cabot Country Cruisers is a running, walking, cycling, tri/swim club located in Cabot, AR. They partner with the Cabot School District for several events throughout the year.

  • The Inspiration Run is an event in which the Cruisers, district employees, and community members run 26 miles in one day, stopping at all district campuses to encourage students to be physically active for life. Last year over 100 people participated by running or cycling with the Cruisers. This year the Inspiration Run will be held October 11, 2013.

  • The Spring Fling 5K run/walk and Kids' Fun Run is held in March. This event is a Grand Prix Championship event and always has a great turnout. All proceeds from this event go to the Cabot Schools' Physical Education Department to purchase equipment and supplies for students.

  • Summer Family Track Nights is a five week program that is free to the public. During these clinics, children and parents learn proper running form and hydration.

Cabot Church of Christ 'Backpack for Kids' Program
For eight years the Cabot Church of Christ has collected money from their congregation to support the Backpack for Kids program.  When Cabot school teachers Chester and Becky Brown started working in the district, they realized there was a need for school supplies for some students.  So the Browns took this need to their church, and they were eager to help.

The money raised for this program is given strictly by donations, funds do not come from the church budget. This year the Cabot Church of Christ raised $8,582 and that money will help over 400 children in the Cabot School District!

In the eight years the church has donated to the 'Backpacks for Kids' program, they have contributed over $54,000 to the Cabot School District!

Stuff the Bus Campaign
Hope's Closet & Pantry in Cabot partnered with the Cabot School District to collect donated school supplies for the 2013-2014 school year. They set up boxes at local stores and held a 'Stuff the Bus' event on August 9 and 10 at Wal-Mart.
