NFL Star Visits Cabot Schools To Promote Anti-Bullying Campaign

September 2, 2015

The Cabot School District has enlisted the help of a former NFL star to help spread the message of our anti-bullying campaign, “Stand Up Against Bullying: be the change.

For two days, Keith Davis, a former New York Giants football player who has appeared on ESPN, ABC, USA Today, and Sports Illustrated, will be on campus speaking to more than 2,400 Cabot School District students.

On Wednesday, he spoke to hundreds of Cabot Middle School North and Cabot Middle School South students. Davis also brought along one of his football colleagues, Clarence Lee. Lee is a National Champion football player from Florida State University.

Together, they encouraged students to dream big and to be dream makers, not dream takers. They also explained that the bad habits of today can lead to big problems tomorrow. Davis and Lee also shared stories of their hard times growing up and hoped to inspire students to never quit and to “Stand Up Against Bullying.”

Davis and Lee will be speaking to students at Cabot Junior High North, Cabot Junior High South and the Freshman Academy Thursday.
