Spirit Squad 2026 Tryout Information

Tryouts for the Junior High School, Cabot Freshman Academy, and Cabot High School Cheer and Dance Teams are quickly approaching.

Athletes with a current physical on file with Athletics from the 2025-2026 school year may tryout. These athletes will require a new physical by August 1 if they make the team.

Athletes who are new 7th graders, new to Cabot or entering Athletic competition for the first time will require a physical BEFORE tryout. This physical must be completed by a personal health care provider. A copy of this physical must be turned in to the coach on the first day of tryout in order to participate.

Please review the dates and times below for parent meetings and tryout schedules. Students must attend every day of tryouts. Tryouts are closed to the public.

Junior High Tryouts:

Mandatory JH Parent Meeting (For current 7th & 8th grade students)
ALL Cheer and Dance – Tuesday, January 20th at 6:00pm at CFA cafeteria

Cheer
January 28-February 21

January 28th: 3:40-5pm (Motions and jumps)
February 11th: 3:40-5:15pm (Band chant)
February 17th: 3:40pm-5:15pm (Cheer and dance)
February 18th: 3:40-5:15pm (Jump and tumbling evaluation)
February 19th: 3:40-7pm (Mock tryouts)
February 21: 9am-? (Final evaluations)

*Tryouts will take place at Cabot Freshman Academy.
*Transportation will be provided from JHS to CFA (no transportation provided on Saturday)

Dance
March 9-13

March 19th: 3:30-5pm (Band dance and chant)
March 10th: 3:30-5pm (Tryout dance)
March 11th: 3:30-5pm (Skills and motions)
March 12th: 3:30-5pm (Mock tryouts)
March 13th: 3:45pm - ?? (Final evaluations)
