Background Information on the New K-6 Hybrid Charter School:
Cabot Public Schools is expanding opportunities for families with the launch of a new K–6 Hybrid Charter Program at Magness Creek Elementary, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
This innovative program is designed for families seeking the flexibility of homeschooling while offering the opportunity to be part of the Cabot Panther family- gaining access to the connection, support, and opportunities of a traditional school experience.
Students enrolled in the hybrid program will attend school two to three days per week, following either a Monday–Wednesday or Tuesday–Thursday schedule. Fridays will serve as a flexible learning day, allowing students and families to come in and receive additional support when needed.
During their time on campus, students will receive direct instruction from certified teachers and participate in many of the same experiences as their peers, including art, music, library, gifted and talented services, lunch, recess, and school celebrations and activities. This model ensures students remain connected to their school community while benefiting from a more flexible schedule.
“This program provides a unique balance,” said district leaders. “Families gain flexibility, while students still experience the relationships, resources, and opportunities that come with being a Cabot Panther.”
