Student Spotlight & PLC Recognition
At our school board meeting we also had the privilege of recognizing four incredible Panthers from our Pre-K campuses - two students and two staff members who go above and beyond each day.
Their impact is felt in the little moments… the kindness they show, the joy they bring, and the way they make others feel seen, supported, and valued. Take a moment to read what makes each of them so special:
Cabot Pre-K North
Kendal Hackler – A student in Mrs. Hicks’ and Mrs. Volpert’s class, Kendal is described as kind, caring, and a friend to everyone. Her teachers say she has a special way of brightening their day the moment she walks through the door.

Mr. Doug Spencer, Custodian – In his first year with Cabot Public Schools, Mr. Doug has already made a lasting impact. Known for his joyful spirit and sense of humor, he is always willing to lend a helping hand. Staff describe him as kind, meticulous, and hardworking and if you call for him, you’re sure to hear a cheerful, “I’m on my way!”

Cabot Pre-K South
Rhenley Maude – A student in Ms. Alford’s and Mrs. Christie’s class, Rhenley is known for her bright smile and the best hugs around. Her teachers describe her as kind, caring, and always willing to help others.

Ms. Angela Hughes, Custodian – Ms. Angela’s work ethic is unmatched. Always looking for ways to help, she takes initiative and leads with a servant’s heart.

She also serves as a mentor to a student who thrives under her encouragement. Her love for her job, her coworkers, and her students is evident in everything she does.
