Cabot’s Jarrod Barnes Named All AR Preps Male Athlete of the Year

June 20, 2016

Some of the best high school athletes and coaches across the state were honored Saturday night, at the fourth annual Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Preps Award Banquet, including ten talented Cabot High School athletes.

Jarrod Barnes was surprised as he was named the All Arkansas Preps Male Athlete of the Year! Jarrod is the quarterback for the Cabot Panthers and was the first in-state recruit for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Jarrod also helped the boys basketball team when their first ever state championship. In track, he also won the triple jump at the conference meet and set a new school record in the long jump at state.

Congratulations to all of our outstanding Cabot athletes for their hard work and dedication.
